The service was great, waitress was very attentive even though she was super busy. We sat on the deck which was very nice being on the water. Appetizer was wonderful we had the crab cake. The meal it self was okay nothing really spectacular about it. Wish I could rate just on atmosphere and serve, but I know this review has to include food.

Don't order anything that isn't fried. Fried catfish, okra, pickles, corn fritters are great. I was served a small blackened tilapia filet and it was sold to me as grouper. May have let some things slide, but dinner took almost two hours for extremely ordinary (and misrepresented) food.

We asked for patio seats and waited for 30 minutes, no big deal. But when we got to the patio it was half empty! We wondered why the wait was so long. Our server was pleasant and brought drinks and appetizers. After one hour, our entre finally arrived The Food was tasty but the tiny portions made it way overpriced. We are just passing through and will not return. We don't recommend this place to anyone.

This wasn't an awful place to eat. The staff were friendly, but the food was just boring. Not much flavor was in anything, even the spicy shrimp starter was mild and tasteless. I would have compared the meal to eating at Red Lobster or some such. On the up side, sitting on the outside deck was delightful.

Fisherman's Wharf is about average on the Yelp scale. 2.5*. Ate outside in the heated patio area. Service started good, got spotty as the evening went on. Food was OK, nothing to write home about. Shrimp 3 ways, small coconut, fried, and grilled. It was ok. Go there more for the drinks and appetizers, it does have one of the best views of any restaurant in Hot Springs right on the lake.

Great view, service and decor. It's a shame that the food is just run of the mill. We paid $85 and had three different entrees. Not one of us was impressed with anything we ate.

Nice deck on the water. Awful food. Go for a drink on the outdoor deck, but not a mixed drink. Maybe a beer.

We have been to this restaurant twice now during two separate trips to Hot Springs. The first visit was very late at night. The food was average at best, but the service was ridiculously slow. Given that it was a late night visit, we sort of excused the lousy service. We attempted to give this place another try on our most recent visit to Hot Springs. We stopped in on a Wednesday night around 6pm. The hostess who appeared bored out of her mind and totally devoid of any personality seated us on the outdoor deck. Our party of 3 sat there for a good 20 minutes. There were 3 staff members serving in our area. Not one of those staff members ever even looked at us. None of the waiters/waitresses acknowledged our presence in any way. Sorry, but the food here is not that good, and it is certainly not good enough to put up with that kind of crappy service. After waiting 20 minutes without so much as a greeting, an offer of beverages, or God forbid, an actual waiter taking our orders we got fed up and left. If I were you, I would skip this place - the food leaves a lot to be desired and the service is just plain awful. We were more than happy to spend our money elsewhere.

The food is good but the atmosphere is even better and as vegetarian we always stick to salads and sides but for the rest of the family they always seem to like the food. Great views of the lake and a cool place to drive the boat up and tie off. We mostly go during the month of June but this time the wife and I went in Oct and it was as crowded.

Fantastic seafood and great atmosphere. Sit on the dock and have the view of the lake. Get the fried pickles and anything is satisfying and a great value.

Great job. Ask for joe. We sat on the heated patio and he was a great server with home style manners and character. He took great care of us and kept everything fun. Food was awesome. Big portions. Enjoyed it.

My parents took us to this restaurant our first night in town. The kids hadn't had a snack and were starving by 4:30 so we headed on over. The place was already packed and we got one of the last tables before the 30 minute waits started. There were several boats that were just pulling up. Attire was everything from shorts and t shirts to slacks and dressier shirts. I had coconut shrimp, loaded baked potato and salad. Now, I'm a big fan of coconut shrimp and these were some of the best I've had in a long time. My wife had the stuffed shrimp. They were very, very good. Everyone enjoyed their meal, the service was very good and priced well.

Our group of 11 arrived on a Saturday night at 720pm (6/28/14). Were told the wait was about 30-40 minutes. Some of us waited at the bar were the service was fine. We were seated at the covered patio at 750pm. We placed our order and received our drinks and appetizers promptly. But things went down hill from there. At 9pm we asked the waitress where our food was she checked and said the kitchen was putting our orders in the window. At 910pm we asked again, and she said it's coming and suggested we "order more drinks"! At 930pm we were on the verge of walking out when suddenly two waitresses brought out 9 of our 11 dinners the other two had to wait another 10 minutes. The food ranged from acceptable to poor quality for the price. One of us did not eat the ribeye because it was not tender at all, another did not eat the catfish for reason unknown. They did not complain they just paid for the overpriced food. Our waitress only offered us complementary deserts that we were not interested. At that point we just wanted to get the hell out of there. One lady lady in our group asked to speak to the manger but he never came. I guess medium size groups should beware. The show " Restaurant Impossible" would have a field day here. The only thing that keeps the place in business is their prime location on Lake Hamilton.

Not worth time or money! Arrived at 7, apps at bar quick and good. Food at table arrived at 9:20. Not impressed, not worth wait. Skip this place!!!

Can't rate the food but their care for the customer is seriously lacking. My wife and I were coming in from out of town. At 8:26pm she called ahead to see what time they closed (on a Wed night). The girl who answered the phone replied... "Uh (pause) tonight? (pause) we actually close at 8:26". So we enjoyed a nice meal and spent our money at Outback Steak House instead.

On a cold January eve. It was so great to enjoy delicious steak and shrimp at Fisherman's Wharf in Hot Springs. From soup to salad..from steak to shrimp..everything was good. No complaints. Would recommend.

Very good Seafood restaurant and very good location (right on the water).

Great view of the lake. Food not so great. Tried to order the tilapia, but they were out. Ordered the catfish - it was slightly undercooked and super super salty. Vegetables were canned - gross. Had shrimp as an app that were tasty. Probably would skip this if in town again.

We have been to this restaurant twice. The first experience I don't remember as being particularly great. However my BF said his food was good, so we returned for a second try. The second time was definitely an improvement. I ordered oysters, and while they looked good, they didn't look GREAT. Had an ok taste, a little gritty in a few of them, 1 was inedible and I skipped that. Served with fresh made horseradish! yeah! I saved that for my fish sandwich, and it was very good. HUGE portion sizes here, I made it through about half. Served with sweet potato fries, yum. Downside, smoker city! Old ladies were lunching and smoking up a storm. We sat outside and it was still kinda gross. Cuteside, they have ducks, geese and tiny birds that you can feed crumbs and leftovers too. KInda charming actually. Definitely a touristy place, but I could see myself having a beer and relaxing on the water if there was a band playing that night.

Food is not bad... not great... but have been three times. It doesn't wow you but doesn't offend. It's just good decent seafood. nothing like what you get on the coast, or even in Texas... but the deck and view are awesome and what brings me back each time I'm in Hot Springs. Plus you can eat and feed ducks and geese your leftovers.

Good seafood !!! Very busy so be ready to wait. It's worth it.

I love eating on the water. The food was pretty decent and our server tried his very best to take care of us, but he seemed a little overexerted during the Friday rush. There is normally quite the wait. The drinks are really good. My only complaint is that the hostess who showed us to our seat seemed rushed and didn't bother displaying the courtesies I associate with a restaurant hostess. She nearly let the door close in my face as she rushed us to our seats. I also saw numerous wait staff with ear buds in their ears, but that's not surprising considering they all seemed around high school age.

If you want to enjoy a nice view of the lake this is the place, if you want to eat seafood your better off going to Red Lobster. The food is just AWFUL, nothing that we ate was prepared fresh, all supplied frozen and fried. We tried the shrimp por boy and it wasn't even eatable, shrimp terrible and the toasted bread tasted like it cam off of a dirty cook top. The stuffed shrimp also frozen and just thrown into an oven to cook, over done and NO TASTE. The sign out front claims to be voted the best seafood in Hot Springs, well I would have hated to see what came in second. The owner should be ashamed for calling this a seafood restaurant, looks like he is only laughing his way to the bank. Stay away except maybe for drinks.

The restaurant has a neat ambiance to it. It sits right on the water with great views of the lake. The interior is nicely decorated and furnished. The food was ok. I really like the crab cake appetizer. My catfish was average, but I really did not like the sweet potato fries, and they are a dollar extra. I was disappointed in the service. Our waiter did not seem to care we were there, and it took a long time to get the two beers I had there.

Food isn't very good. Better off going just for drinks. Sit out on the patio.

This place was recommended by a friend of mine that had eaten here before. Sits right on the lake with great views. The decor was nice and had a seafood place feel. The booth cushions needs to be replaces. Very lumpy and felt like a little kid sitting at the big table they sank so low when you sat in them. I ordered the crap stuffed shrimp. They were basically a scoop of crab dressing on top of shrimp. It was more dressing than anything and undercooked. I am from the Gulf Coast and have had much better seafood than this. Not sure I would go back if I was ever in Hot Springs again. Gave is 3 stars for the views, atmosphere. What I ordered would be a 2 star.

Considering the location, great outdoor dining, cool inside complete with aquariums separating the bar and dining area, palapa covered bar, great service and friendly staff this place seems to have it all. Unfortunately, the food is gross. The brocoli salad was a bit old and too saucy, the coconut shrimp obviously from a restaurant supply company is overbreaded and small, yet the charge of $15.95 I would have expected larger shrimp such as what The Outback has. My husband got bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp, the crab stuffing was gummy and well, gross. We ate pretty easy to please people and although the meal was gross the ice tea was good and we enjoyed dining outside.

Really disappointed. The service was great, but the food was awful. My stuffed shrimp was dry and had a weird taste. My son's cheeseburger was so gross, he wouldn't even touch it after one bite. Seemed like an overcooked frozen patty. Baffled how this place keeps getting recommended.

Dont get the grouper. The grouper is not grouper but some farm raised fish from overseas

We chose this place because of the setting on the lake. The place inside is rather dark, but clean. They served the WORST Caesar salad I've experienced in a restaurant. A huge plate full of the dark, rough leaves from the romaine (the stuff you should feed to the cows); we couldn't find any of the tender, tasty leaves in the whole mess. Topped with a decent tasting grilled chicken and dressing - the waitress brought a side of dressing (about 3/4 of a cup) in case we wanted more. Seriously? The guys had the catfish sandwich - large and tasty. I opted for a cup of the gumbo (salty and a bit fishy tasting), plus a broiled crab cake. The crab cake was nicely done with a hint of cayenne pepper to pop the flavors. We enjoyed watching the turtles in the lake and boats sailing by. Food ok, service ok. Waitress not overly friendly and made NO comment when we told her the salad was horrible. She did, however, remove it from the bill, but didn't tell us she had done so.
